Happy Birthday America

Mt.  Rushmore,  South Dakota
What could be more appropriate on July 4 than a photo from Mr. Rushmore,  South Dakota?  We visited there on Sept.25, 2012.   I had seen photos of the four Presidents  depicted (George Washington,   Thomas Jefferson,  Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln) --but had never seen Mt. Rushmore in person.  WOW--what an experience!!!!!  If you haven't visited there,  be sure and go sometime!

Hope each of you have a very nice July 4th...  God Bless America!

Hugs,

One of the nicest photos I have seen of Mt. Rushmore. Hard to wish you a happy 4th knowing your heart is breaking over the death of your precious, longtime friend. So I will just say that your header is also lovely. Safe travels on Friday.

That's a great photo for the holiday! I don't know if I will ever get there some day or not. It all depends on whether we ever take a very long road trip.

Can you imagine actually creating that? Even with the image in your head and on paper - - what a magnificent - - and scary undertaking.

Dear Betsy, a great photograph of four great men. Did you get to see the Crazy Horse sculpture? I think that's in the same area, but I could be so wrong about that because I've seen neither of them. Peace.
