As you probably know, George and I love to go to Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina twice a year. We go in May and then again in late November/early December. If I had to choose only one time a year to go, I'd choose the NOV/DEC time since that is when we can see both sunrises and sunsets from our balcony at the Islander Inn. It's also less crowded that time of year --so we have the beach to ourselves. We do love to walk on the beach --and can do that both in May and Nov/Dec.
WELL---we do enjoy going both times and both of us LOVE the wonderful fresh seafood we can get in nearby Calabash.
The header picture at the top shows a picture taken at sunrise from the beach. And the picture at the top of this post shows the sunset from the same location.... Hope you enjoy them!!!
Have an awesome January---2017!!!! WOW.
Hugs,

Both the sunrise and sunset pictures are beautiful.
I know that is your favorite time of year when you own the beach. What a great feeling it must be to have it basically to yourselves.
You've captured the beauty of Ocean Isle Beach perfectly.
This is gorgeous, Betsy! I cannot even imagine getting to see it live! You know what? You ought to make a collage of the best Ocean Isle sunsets through the years, and hang it up somewhere. AND post it!
Happy New Year. You have saved the best of your sun rises and sunsets for this new beginning.
Gorgeous photos, Betsy! It's wonderful to be able to walk the beach when it is in off-season. No crowds, and you have the beach all to yourself.
You travel to lovely places to make memories over and over. You are blessed people. And your photos are always such a delight.
What an incredible sunrise!
Both sunrise and sunset are gorgeous.
How special to see both the sunrise and sunset. Wishing you both many blessings in 2017.
I know you enjoy visiting Ocean Isle Beach and the lovely view from balconies. Beautiful photos

What an amazing picture....the view is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Betsy,
That beach is so gorgeous, it must feel very nice to have a spot to go back to regularly. It's good for the soul I believe. Nature is fantastic isn't it. Have a great weekend!
Eva
I feel a bit warmer just looking at this photo. Today the sun sets after five for the first time this year. 5:01. Small victories to celebrate. ππΌπ
Beach walks in the empty season are the best!
