Silky Water by Betsy

For my birthday this year,  George bought me a small tripod and a Graduated Neutral Density Filter (like he has)....   I don't think I'll EVER learn to take good photos like my hubby takes,  but it was fun trying to learn how to do it.... This photo was my first pass at taking photos using the new filter... I LOVE George's 'silky' water photos --so I hope you will enjoy mine also!!!!!  (Photo was taken on 9/5/13 in the Tremont area of the Smoky Mountains)

Check out my regular blog today to see lots of cute Backyard Birds... Click HERE.

Hugs,

I got a new point and shoot for my birthday as well. However, nothing compared to your camera. The bad part is the instructions on how to use it are on a disk. I need a book.

Betsy!
Your photo is beautiful.
Filter, for me it's something new. I do not know whether in Poland so I can buy it.
I cordially greet.

It looks like an enchanted forest. And the bridge header is lovely, it looks like there may be some trolls living on the other side.

Lovely shot, Betsy. I also like your header with that many-arched bridge and reflections in the water!

Can you also use that filter to make a very bright sky less bright and the ground not look so dark?

I just love your Header. That filter sure does make the water look so soft and silky.

Wonderful. It must be a joy to sit there with the leg in the water.

Hi Betsy, that's a very spectacular picture. Well done, 2 thumbs up for you. With George guiding you with your new toy, should be no problem, you will catch up soon. Have fun.

Have a nice weekend, hugs.

It's odd to see water not appearing crystal clear and sharp. The lens sure does add a softness element.
