Beautiful Tulip in our Yard (April 10, 2014)

The Daffodils and TULIPS are really showing off all of their beauty in our yard now... Oh--how I love Spring (especially after the bitter winter we just had).  This one is named HALLEY'S COMET.   Isn't it gorgeous?

Hugs,

Oh yes it is George-ous! I remember them from last years, as well as those very organized layout.

How many bulbs do you put down each year? And how do you keep the deer from eating them all? These are just delightful!

Yes it is a gorgeous one Betsy! and how I love the header.
How I miss all of these gorgeous cold climate bulbs which I used to be able to enjoy when living in the southern areas of Oz.
I think Halley's Comet is so aptly named!

that is a pretty tulip. If it was here Haley's Comet would be under a blanket of snow right now. Yes, we got more snow yesterday.

How did I miss this new blog???? If I can find enough time to sit down,I am going to make yet another attempt to get back to my blog reading! Life is going at a higher speed than I am right now! Pretty flowers! Still waiting for ours to get with the idea of spring. Yesterday's snow didn't help much ;-)

Your yard photo on your header is just gorgeous. I want a yard just like that. You truly have a green thumb and I bet you have no deer around to graze about and eat all of those gorgeous flowers. I cannot seem to grow anything...no matter what I plant the deer think it's a their own private, all you can eat, salad buffet.

Our Tulips are doing well also. I guess I should post a pic of them. I counted them and we have 215 just in the front alone and others scattered around. so pretty and cheery. I love the Orangey color on Haleys Comet. MB

So bright and cheerful, it just yells Spring! Absolutely gorgeous Betsy! We've taken a dip into the chilly weather here, I think Mother Nature is playing a little joke on us :)

Very pretty, Betsy! I've got a rotten cold that hit me yesterday after getting through all of winter without a cold or flu bug. This pretty, colorful tulip is so cheerful. Just what I needed to see!

Lovely indeed. I'm a big tulip fan...:) I had two blogs one for nature and one for reviews but consolidated them as I think it was too much work for both sides of the equation.

Wish I had the green thumb you and George have. I have not seen one flower from your yard that was not breathtaking. It calls for a lot of work but it is worth it when you share with us.
